nowe sterowniki od nvidii !!!! nowe funkcje VDPAU !!!

Nie wiem jak to się stało, ale przeoczyłem ostatnio wydanie nowych sterów od nvidii dla Linuxa.

Osoby używające XBMC pod linuxem na pewno się ucieszą. Proszę zwrócić uwagę na pogrubiony fragment...

Release highlights:

* Added support for IgnoreEDIDChecksum X configuration option, which can be used to force the X driver to accept the EDID of a display device even when the checksum is invalid. Please see the README IgnoreEDIDChecksum description for a caution and details of use.

* Added support for configuring the GPU's fan speed; see the "Coolbits" X configuration option in the README.

* Fixed a bug in VDPAU that could cause visible corruption near the bottom edge of the picture when decoding VC-1 simple/main profile clips whose heights are not exact multiples of 16 pixels, on GPUs with VDPAU feature set A.

* On GPUs with VDPAU feature set C, VDPAU now supports decoding MPEG-4 Part 2, DivX 4, and DivX 5 video. The VDPAU API has been enhanced to expose this feature.

* On GPUs with VDPAU feature set C, VDPAU now supports a higher quality video scaling algorithm. The VDPAU API has been enhanced to expose this feature.

Please note that the new VDPAU features are only available with VDPAU feature set C. See the supported product list in the README for a table of which GPUs have which feature set.

Witam, a jak je zainstalować? tzn jak zaktualizować te co mam do tych nowych? posiadam karte geforce 8400GS.

Witam. Mam problem z zainstalowaniem sterownika NVIDIA-Linux-x86-190.36-pkg1.run TU

Wypisze w punktach co robię, może gdzieś popełniam błąd?

1 Wychodze z XBMC do konsoli (w kompie z zajnst. XBMC)

2 Programem winSCP kopiuje sterownik do założonego wcześniej folderu "install" w "tmp",

3 W PuTTY wpisuje polecenie "sudo sh /tmp/install/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-190.36-pkg1.run"

4 Rozkompresowuje się, prosi o akceptacje

Dalej wywala mi takie komunikaty

Mam pł. główną M3N78-EM ze zintegrowanym GF8300 który podobno dobrze wspiera VDPAU TU a mi niestety nawet zwykłe SD rwie...

1 blad informuje cie ze nie masz paczki zainstalowanej (make). Musisz ja zainstalowac.

He he, żebym wiedział o co chodzi... wydawało mi się że właśnie wydając polecenie "sudo sh /tmp/install/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-190.36-pkg1.run" instaluję "paczkę",

Z linuxa jestem niestety kompletna noga..

Zgadza sie ale zeby cokolwiek skompilowac trzeba miec min paczke "make". Jaka masz dystrybucje linuxa?

Ubuntu, instalowałem XBMC live 9.04.1

sudo apt-get install make.

Teraz chyba coś z jądrem systemu jeśli dobrze rozumiem,

jednak linux jest dla mnie za skomplikowany...

grzegorz_76 dziękuję że mi pomagasz.

powyższe polecenie też nic nie dało, przewertowałem forum XBMC coś tam znalazłem, zacząłem wpisywać w konsoli i...namieszałem tak że przestał się uruchamiać, musiałem jeszcze raz instalować XBMC, naszczęście instalacja XBMClive to 10min.

Doszedłem do tego że nowe sterowniki nvidii wymagają nowego kernela, a to już dla mnie za skomplikowane

Instalacja najnowszej wersji XBMClive 9.11-a1 TU (stery NV 190.42) rozwiązała powyższy problem.

Wszystko co mam w fulHD mkv śmiga pięknie na zintegrowanej GF8300

Jednak nie jest tak pięknie jak myślałem, trochę "rwie", choć na pewno mniej niż w wersji 9.04 XBMC
