Jest to kompletny odtwarzacz strumieniowy z dwoma dyskami po 2 TB każdy spięty w RAID do zabezpieczenia swoich zbiorów (około 5000 płyt CD w formacie FLAC).

    Na rynku dostępnych jest wiele odtwarzaczy sieciowych. Jednak przy bliższym poznaniu okazuje się, że trudno znaleźć w pełni satysfakcjonujące urządzenie. Przyczyny, to niedoskonałości w oprogramowaniu urządzeń, powodujące nieprawidłowe odtwarzanie filmów. Z tego powodu postanowiłem samodzielnie zbudować odtwarzacz filmów Blu-ray jak i Blu-ray 3D.

    Przyjąłem założenie, że dla uzyskanie niezawodnej sprawności działania muszę zbudować platformę dająca możliwość korzystania z różnych aplikacji do uzyskania najlepszej konfiguracji. W miejsce klasycznego odtwarzacza, ograniczonego firmowym oprogramowaniem postanowiłem zbudować mini PC, przeznaczony do odtwarzania filmów.

    W fazie zbierania potrzebnych zespołów dokonałem zakupów u jednego dostawcy, co pozwoliło na uzyskanie rabatu, oszczędności na przesyłce, jak i postępowania przy ewentualnej reklamacji. Może to mało ważne, ale z doświadczenia wiem, że kłopoty powstałe przy zakupach mogą zniechęcić do całego projektu.

    Wybrałem sklep internetowy ITX-Sklep.pl, który specjalizuje się w tego typu rozwiązaniach, a co za tym idzie ma doświadczenie w budowie miniaturowych HTCP jak i duże zaplecze sprzętowe. Jest to chyba jeden z niewielu sklepów z tak dużą ofertą podzespołów do HTCP.

    Podstawą mojego odtwarzacza została płyta Intel DQ77KB w formacie Thin mini-ITX. Jest to płyta oparta na nowym chipsecie DQ77, który w połączeniu z procesorami Core i3 oraz i5 – zarówno drugiej (Sandy Bridge), jak i trzeciej generacji (Ivy Bridge) – daje możliwość odtwarzania plików wideo o dużym bitrate, tak ważnym przy filmach Blu-ray 3D. Dodatkowym plusem płyty jest też zintegrowany zasilacz (przetwornica), który pozwolił na rezygnację z montowania tradycyjnego zasilacza w obudowie. Było to dla mnie ważne, bo pozwoliło na zmniejszenie obudowy, i pewną oszczędność w wydatkach. Mała obudowa jest bardziej estetyczna niż wielkie pudło, które nie wiadomo gdzie upchać w szafce ze sprzętem.

    Z tych powodów obudowę zaprojektowałem samodzielnie. Przyjąłem, że wielkość obudowy będzie nie większa niż klasyczne odtwarzacze, gwarantująca miejsce na wewnętrzną kieszeń dla dysków. Wykonałem obudowę z blachy 1,5 mm, płyta czołowa z blachy aluminiowej 6 mm. Te dwa elementy połączyłem klejem do metalu. Całość pokryta błyszczącym lakierem. Pokrywa górna z czarnego lakierowanego plexi z otworem na chłodzenie, osłonięta siatką (wklejona od spodu). Wnętrze obudowy wykleiłem matą wygłuszającą.

    Postanowiłem wziąć sprawę w swoje ręce i zaprojektować taką obudowę która spełniała moje wymagania.

    • Nakładka Media Browser daje niesamowite wrażania wizualne, jakich nie doznamy przy stacjonarnych i sieciowych odtwarzaczach.

    Jest to darmowa aplikacja zaprojektowana do Windows Media Center, który jest częścią składową systemu Windows. Niestety w nowej wersji Windows 8 nie będzie aplikacji WMC. Stanie się oddzielnym pakietem za dodatkową opłatą.

    Podsumowanie:

    Mój odtwarzacz jest pełnowartościowym odtwarzaczem opartym na płycie i procesorze, który posiada zintegrowaną kartę graficzną do odtwarzania materiału HD.

    Urządzenia typu HTCP pod względem funkcjonalności jak i wyświetlanej grafiki na ekranie TV biją na głowę stacjonarne odtwarzacze. Posiadają szeroką gamę możliwości konfiguracyjnych pod względem sprzętowym i programowym. Oferują komfort pracy i szybki dostęp do zawartości na dysku twardym. Sterowanie jest bardzo proste i nie wymaga żadnej specjalistycznej wiedzy technicznej .
