Fix for DVD playback released!!!
Hi,

I have contacted Kiss support for the problem with DVD playback. They just mailed back that a fix was be available. I pasted the text from the mail below

I would like to know if you have recently updated the firmware on your player to the 3.0.14 firmware, because there have been some issues with the player not being able to read the original DVDs after firmware update. We have a fix for this placed on the ftp link mentioned below :

We put two files on the FTP in the following folder:
[size=7][b]fix\DP-600\region code fix\ [/b][/size]
one is for PAL and the other one for NTSC players.

There will be available within 1 hour.
Burn the iso image to a CD.
Boot from the CD by holding the Default button as usual:
- Put the CD in the player
- Switch OFF the player with the ON/OFF button at the back
- Switch ON the player with the ON/OFF button at the back
- Press Defaut at the back of the player and keep it down
- Turn ON the player with the remote or the STOP button on the
player
- Keep Defaut down until „Please wait“ disappear
Wait until the CD ejects (no gui will appear and it only takes approx. 1
minute).
Remove the CD and reboot the player.
Restore player settings by using the “9990000” code in the advanced
menu.

Make sure that this patch is installed on your player.

Download the correct ISO image for your region.

Region 1 NTSC - DP-600-Region-code-fix-ntsc-r1.iso
Region 2 PAL - DP-600-Region-code-fix-pal-r2.iso
